hi guys need help ASAP
so city link suspended my account back in September last year, so i called in October to reactivate - i know i had been through a couple of tolls so i asked the rep if there was anything outstanding - she said yes so paid like $80 and that bought my balance to $40 and the rest were the tolls paid off. then in December and January i started receiving emails saying that if i didn't pay the toll it would be referred to civic compliance. so i called them up and paid again.
so last week randomly i received 8 civic compliance infringements totaling $888 (SHOCK = heart attack!!!)
i have been on the phone to citylink and civic compliance back and forth for 3 weeks and today i finally received an email from a resolutions adviser from citylink stating that in fact citylink had stuffed up - tht when i called to re activate the account the rep failed to notify me of the the tolls outstanding (wich are now infringements)
so the money they kept taking off me was for other tolls runs i had made!! jee:(
so now i have to put a dispute in to civic compliance and i have been asked by the resolutions adviser to make sure i attach the email as supporting evidence. ok i can do tht.
problem is how do i write the request for internal review to civic compliance -
so far this is what i have …
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to request an internal review of the infringement/obligation numbers as mentioned above.
I have contacted city link on several occasions in order to identify the reasons as to why the toll notice had been transferred over to civic compliance, in manner of an infringement notice, as set out by legislation. After months of chasing it has been bought to my attention that the fault in fact lies with that of City link’s office.
City link has advised (in writing) that when I had called their office on the 24th of October 2014 to rectify an account that had fallen into arrears, the representative failed to mention the outstanding toll notice neither did the representative include the toll notice in question, in the payment I made on the day to bring the account back into a positive balance.
Hence, unknown to me the toll notice, following set protocols was transferred over to your office for dealing.
I attach for your reference the email from City Link resolutions adviser as evidence supporting my claim.
I urge you to reconsider the infringement notice and hope for a positive outcome.
Kind regards

umm why has this gone from a general discussion into automotive?
It's worded a bit oddly in parts. I suggest the following (changes in bold):
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to request an internal review of the infringement/obligation numbers mentioned above.
I have contacted City Link on several occasions in order to determine why the outstanding tolls were converted to an infringement notice and transferred to Civic Compliance. After months of chasing, City Link’s office have confirmed that the fault lies with them.
City Link has advised me (in writing) that when I called their office on the 24th of October 2014 to rectify an account that had fallen into arrears, the representative failed to mention the outstanding toll notice, and also failed to include the toll notice in question in the payment I made on that day to bring the account back into a positive balance.
Hence, unbeknown to me, in accordance with set protocols the notice was transferred to your office for further action. For your reference, I have attached the email from the City Link Resolutions Adviser to this communication, as evidence supporting my claim.
Given the above, I respectfully request that you reconsider the infringement notice, and hope for a positive outcome.
Kind regards
