A tidy 434 specials this week, with Woolworths at #1 with "Woolworths" (uh, branded?) Australian Cream Delight Washed Potato… 2kg, $2.98 (Save $4, 57% off). Potato potato potato! They've also got Chobani Greek Yoghurt 170g, 10 for $10 (Save $12.50, 56% off), and Sunrice Long Grain Rice 10kg, $10 (Save $12, 55% off). Coles seem to be off the radar this week, except for our pick of the week, Green's Pancake Shake 200g, $1 (Save $1.29, 56% off).           I too am generally suspicious of foodstuffs coming from China. But when it comes to tea, well, they did kind of invent it.

          @Pacolito: Unfortunately I don't think that has any impact on the quality now. I'm basicall worried about contaminants like heavy metals and pesticides with anything from China.

        Yes, but brace yourself. Lapsang Souchong is a little bit like smoking. Initially, the smell is perceived to be strong and offensive. But then after a while, you're hooked. Just got to keep your eyes on the prize and push through.

        Also, consume regularly in your workplace for instant popularity with nearby colleagues. And by "popularity" I mean contempt, resentment and probable complaints to HR.

          @ElWircho: Good to hear you're converted! Welcome aboard :) Availability has been getting more tricky in recent years. Larger Coles supermarkets are generally pretty good, but Woolies stopped stocking it a while ago.

          If you're happy to brew your tea in a pot (bit of a hassle, but it's ok), you can buy "Tarry Lapsang Crocodile" on eBay. It's more expensive, but it has the benefit of being from Taiwan rather than mainland China and therefore less likely to contain pollutants, I feel. It's a good drop though, I recommend.

          You can buy little teabag-type dunking devices too, which make that easier.

      It's a typo, along with
      "BWS Grant Burge Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay 750ml 6 for $19"
      "BWS Devil's Lair The Hidden Cave Margaret River 750ml 6 for $16"
      "BWS Hardys The Chronicles 750ml 6 for $11"

      I suspect it's the single bottle price when bought in a 6 pack.

    Great post as always, but the biggest $$ savings should split the multibuys up.

    Liquorland Berri Cask Range 5l 3 for $33 ($24, 42%)

    This is $8 per carton saving. If I bought 3 HTC phones I would save $270

    Of course biggest % is still valid.
