  • Any peak time congestion issues ?

I'm currently with Exetel (out of contract) and looking to bail as optus wholesale performance is atrocious as soon as there is demand , plus p2p is throttled heavily.

    • which area are you in? Exetel $39.99 100gb broadband+phone bundle is cheap

      • +1

        I'm in Canning Vale

Current on Exetel 500gb + Unlimited calls etc (dont need it) at $59 a month , but the peak time slowdowns are terrible, and Exetel just keep passing the buck.

    • Haven't noticed any p2p issues, but I am using a VPN (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/cyberghost-5) which makes it a bit slower anyway.

    • +$20pm for non Amnet DSLAM exchanges.

Edit: Oops. Not sure if this is with Naked :) Ignore this post :)

  • That's $10 cheaper than iinets cheapest. 100gb, naked only - but I get a VOIP line too with a full regular dialable phone number.

    • I'm on the same and agree that iinet is better value and never had an issue with peak times etc

    • Agree, Amnet VOIP number is $12 a month. This is a good deal for someone who doesn't need a land line number.

  • This isn't new? I've been on the $70/mo naked unlimited since mid-NOV.
    No congestion issues at all.

    • I saw it today and switched my plan. Thought that it is a very good price and wasn't on Ozbargain yet, so I shared it. Not sure when the new plans were published.

    • I switched my plan Jan 12th. The sales rep at the time said the new plans came out Dec 14.

      • +1
        • Ahh, thanks for that. I was trying to see how long the plans had been out for (new plans saved me $25p/m!) So asked the question.

Edit: Maybe the Sales guy was mistaken.. Yea, we'll be optimistic. Also could be because I'm on an ADSL1 RIM (thanks Telstra) and they changed those plans afterwards.

        • @rompastompa: Possibly - I was already on the Naked $70/mo plan (250GB) so they might have rolled out the unlimited to existing, prior to announcing availability to the market.
