If you are referring to this "the complaint alleges that the company misleadingly markets yogurt as “Greek” when the yogurt sold in the U.S. is not actually made in Greece or made by Greek nationals"
then lol. So if Chinese food is made by someone not Chinese is it no longer Chinese food?

      • What is the cut-off point for "made by Greek nationals"? Does the 1/16th Greek-descendant janitor count?

        • It is a slippery slope, but there used to be actual definitions for aboriginals. In fact, there still is (Just much more PC). If the same definitions applied, 1/16th cast would indeed count as Greek.

        • @Son ofa Zombie:
I'm entitled to all that extends to aboriginal and torris straight islanders (not that I have ever bothered) and I'm only 1/16th.

        • @linton: that's precisely what i just said.

        • @linton:

          torris straight islanders

          Torres Strait Islanders

          Fixed that for you.

      • I take it some people never go down the cheese aisle at shops. They are in for a rude shock - mislabelled food everywhere!

So if champagne is made somewhere other than Champagne is it no longer champagne?

"Greek yoghurt" is a style of yoghurt that has been strained to remove its whey. Perhaps McDonalds needs to clarify those "French" Fries ;)

I'd be more worried about where that bacon comes from. Whether it's Australian pork & sow stall free.

10 x Chobani Greek Yoghurt Tubs

    No, it's made in Australia.

    It is Greek 'Style' Yogurt

    The owner isn't even Greek… He's Turkish American…

    • Yup. Made in Dandenong, Victoria.

      • +2

Title should be changed to :

10 x Chobani Dandenong Yoghurt Tubs

        • Or

          10 x Chobani 3175 1337 Yoghurt Tubs

          @tommyc:

buy 10, get a free pair of moccasins…

    • This is not even Greek style. Greek style("suzme" in Turkish) yogurt is thicker/creamy.
This is a standard yogurt you can find in any grocery store in Turkey.
Owner admits that its targeted marketing. Because more Greek people live in western countries than Turkish people.

      • This is a standard yogurt you can find in any grocery store in Turkey.

You can get Dandenong yogurt in Turkey?

        • You call Guangzhou Ugg to your boots?

Who cares….I'm buying 10x Mango Flavour @ exactly 8am Wednesday.

    • I'm buying 10x Mango Flavour

Apparently those ones are only 2% Greek Yogurt

      http://www.chobani.com.au/products/

      • Thats a whole 0.4% more than Greece's recent GDP Growth.

        • +3

          recent GDP Growth.

It grew ??? How? Nobody there works.

          @jv:
They do work…work hard to avoid tax.

        • @jv: They don't have anything to do, everyone is making their yoghurt for them.

      • Why do they advertise 0% Greek Yoghurt. Now the Greece is in difficulty, are they shunning them?

    • how big are the tubs anyway? are they the 1kg ones?

      • 170g

        • lol - seriously? where is the bargain? Thanks for the reply though.

Been waiting for this yoghurt deal to come back passion fruit yum.

  • Thanks OP.

    Time to stock up :D

  • I'm almost through the bacon I bought at this price two weeks ago. Another special, awesome!

  • $8 is a new low price. Just what I wanted as it's my responsibility to bring home the bacon in my family :)

  • How sad is it that I get excited about 10 for $10 chobani yoghurts? Time to stock up on lemon flavour.

  • Why do they make Honey flavour in the pouch version but not tubs. Someone needs a stern written letter.

    • +3

The Bees easily fly out of the tub. Whereas the pouch they're trapped and can't through that small screw top.

    • I get the honey flavour in tubs all the time in NSW

  • These taste weird conpared to yo plait and ski.

    • +7

Yeah. Chobani actually tastes like yoghurt & not milky sludge.

    • Try "Woolworths Gold Greek Vanilla Bean" yoghurt - Its the best yoghurt Ive ever had.

    • Yoplait is locally manufactured by LD&D Australia Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Japan's Lion Group under licence.

  • Awesome find Trent. Thanks!

  • Mmmm… Chobani… Just don't try freezing them, I have tried - resulted in a catastrophe.

  • Just like Greece's frozen economy.
