Modem Router

Hi
Can any one please help me and avice that any two different Modem Router/ Extender can be syncronised.
I have dilik modem router ( old one G604T ) dopping out and have extender dlink dap1650. I am thinking to buy new modem router TP Link Archer D7. Can TP Link and Dlink Syncronised or not.

  Dropping out because it cannot cover the distance or because the receiving unit is timing out and disconnecting?
  Might be a better question asked on whirlpool?

  The Tp Link modem/router can be used with your DAP-1650.
