Lawdepot - Last Will and Testament

Has anyone used Law Depot for their Will and is it considered valid?

Can get 2 week access to edit & print a will from between $19 – $49.
The Public Trustee in WA charges $300 for a simple Will and most law firms charge around $500?

My situation is not-complex so only need a simple will.

Cheers

Your situation may be simple but wills are not. Judges are having all kinds of strife dealing with home will kits or similar products. You really are best to use a professional who can also advise you on storing your will and other requirments you may not know you want/need such as power of attorney or living wills and also what even constitutes your estate. It is actually quite a complex area of law.

  • Thanks for your response.

My thought process was to have a simple will for now (as opposed to not having one at all) and when circumstances change. eg. Assets / relationship etc to see a professional.

I think I heard on 6PR that Red Cross are doing some local will clinics and are quite affordable.

  • Just had a look. $75. Time/s are quite limited however.
