Imagine Nobu Restaurant having a special range of cup noodles being sold in Woollies. Nobu loyalists would look down on Nobu after the disaster in sales because it's not as premium anymore. Woollies then crams to get rid of every single Nobu Instant Cup Noodles they have, cleaning the trail and will never look back.
Oh ok, I thought there was some interesting scandal or something. In either case Target or Woolies in your example don't seem to take that much damage to their reputation neither of them are high end exclusive retailers.
it's hardly the first example, you'd be amazed. vera wang is currently selling clothes at harris scarfe. stella mccartney has sold stuff at kmart. this is probably the first example i can think of where the collection is being sold off for $5 though.
They had some Missoni products (tablet pouch, dog collar + lead, mobile phone case) for $2 just now in the Bondi Junction store. There's a fair few left of each of these.
there is also a lot of missoni stuff online, shorts for $5, tees for $5 etc. but yeah, i'm not a fan of zig zagg stuff

I just got two jumpsuits,two pairs of thongs for $20 Target Innaloo..They are nice but would not have paid the original price of $99 each for the jumpsuits bought in Target.
The quality is a hit and miss.
I bought the nappy bag for $25 and I had to return it. After using skip hop bag, Missoni material feels really cheap and it doesn't retain its shape.

There wasn't much there though, and nothing that appealed to me, plenty of toddler thongs, some canvas girl's zigzaag shoes, some canvas tablet & phone cases, other odds and ends.Big fan of Missoni and bought items full price when first released at Target. Quickly ran over to closest Target and bought everything I could get my hands on. Didn't bother trying anything on. 50 cents for swimwear $1 for everything else. Thanks for the tip off.
