    Not enough Tomb Raider DLC.

But grabbed the Final Fantasy titles.

    Cheers!

    • I own Final Fantasy VII and VIII, but will add XIII and XIII-2!

Neither does any other deal on the front page right now - better neg them all!

A bit lazy to not list any examples.

Some good prices when you click the link though.

I thought "E.g. Eidos Anthology at historical low: $31.19 USD - Original Price: $207.99 USD" was a good example…

      Thanks OP, welcome to OzBargain!

      Added more examples :)

A bit lazy for you not to click on a link. Kids these days….

great deals, I have 90% already in my steam library :P

    • Lol, same… but might add mini ninja, front mission and dungeon siege to my collection =)

I think Tomb Raider may just be the most discounted game of all time. It popps up in SO many sales..

For a 4 year old game it's still selling.

    • +2

If you don't have it you definitely should though! It is an awesome game.

    • +2

It's less than 2 years old.

  • +2

Very tempted by Sleeping Dogs although there is a 90% certainty I will never get around to playing it.

    • This. I bought it when it was $5 or something. Played for 15 minutes and haven't played it ever since

    • +3

Sleeping Dogs is an awesome game. I found it easy to get into it and it won't take long to finish.

    • +7

Sleeping Dogs is actually a really great game. The story is very similar to the move 'Infernal Affairs'. The driving is quite fun too.
The kung foo does get a bit naff after a while though.

Not sure why it didn't get more press when it was released.

      • +1

Well thanks to you I did end up buying it!

        • +1

It's a fantastic game with a great setting. Make sure to download the HD texture DLC here!

        • @kaneissik: thanks for the comment, just want to confirm as it seems that definitive edition includes this DLC already, not sure though, I just bought the game and want to confirm do you know at all ?

        • @Slippy: The HD texture DLC is free, regardless of what version you buy. I'm not sure if it gets downloaded automatically with the game or not so that's why I linked the store page just in case.

    • +1

I played a few hours of it ages ago but with GTAV on the horizon I won't bother.

      • +3

GTA V is not coming out on PC until March, so you have some time to beat Sleeping Dogs ;)

        • not when I am replaying Red Dead Redemption currently, also about 30hrs into DA:I …and playing Terraria…and Besiege now too :P

  • Perfect! Thanks mate. Got Tomb Raider for $5 AUD. Happy days!

  • +2

Was hoping for Life is Strange.

Even though its too early to see any worthy reductions

  • +1

Here is the only part you care about:

Final Fantasy 7 & 8 are both six bucks
    FF13 is $8
    FF13-2 is $10

  • Oh boy, I wish I had money! I've just picked up a PC finally capable of running games (always been a console gamer) - what are people's recommendations if they were to recommend 1 of the game bundles? (Other than the full anthology, I ain't got money for that!)

    • I'd recommend getting some of the Final Fantasy games, ala: Final Fantasy VII, VIII, XIII and XIII-2.

      • I've played all of those bar XIII-2 on consoles in the past, but it's been a while. FF VII on PC was upscaled or redone or something right?

        • I think it is just a port… But i heard there are mods to make the graphics better.

    • What are your favorite console games?

      • Mainly 3rd person shooters, as a genre.

        • +1

Most of those are also on consoles, I can't think of many exclusives except for the large amount of zombie based games you can get off of Steam.

I'll give you a list of those, but you'll already know them I'm sure:
          - Mass Effect Series
          - Hitman Series
          - GTA series (V in March)
          - Sleeping Dogs
          - Just Cause 2
          - Sniper Elite Series
          - Max Payne Series
          - Specs Ops the Line
          - Tomb Raider
          - Batman Arkham series
          - Tom Clancy games like Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six
          - Saints Row series (I'm not keen on these)
          - Dead Space series (I'm not keen on these)
          - Watch Dogs (I've not played)
          - Serious Sam 3

Thing is, these often play better on a controller.

Some newish games not too far from TPS:
          - Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon and Far Cry 4
          - Wolfenstein: The New Order
          - Crysis series
          - Skyrim (HD content and mods galore!)
          - Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light
          - Bioshock Series
          - Borderlands Series

Some iconic PC games that are not TPS and might be on consoles:
          - Starcraft II
          - Dragon Age: Inquisition
          - Alien Isolation
          - Portal 1 and 2
          - Dishonored
          - Fallout: New Vegas
          - Team Fortress 2
          - Telltale: The Walking Dead 1 and 2
          - Half-Life 2 plus 2 episodes
          - Total War Series (I recommend Shogun 2)
          - Civilisation 5 Complete Edition
          - Left 4 Dead 2
          - Bastion
          - XCOM Enemy Unknown
          - To the Moon
          - FTL: Faster Than Light
          - The Stanley Parable
          - Braid

I hope this helps, I've not gone too old school on you, but there are some classics on the PC's, but might be dated by its graphics and their interface.

        • +1

@FabMan: Thanks dude, I really appreciate the effort you've gone to for me :) I'll suss some of these out!

  • Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 are good buys at 50% off.

  • Must… resist… I know that Eidos anthology is only going to get bigger (more games included) and/or cheaper… rocking motion

  • Curses picked this up for more on the summer sales despite knowing this was going to happen

  • E.g. Eidos Anthology at historical low: $31.19 USD - Original Price: $207.99 USD

    Wasn't it cheaper here?

    • Well, I'm basing it off Enhanced Steam and they are different currencies.

  • Battlestations: Midway & Pacific pack for $3 is excellent also.

Put in hundreds of hours into those games and have been patiently waiting for a spiritual successor ever since.

  • Thanks OP, great spot!
I bit the Just Cause collection

  • +1

Eidos Anthology at historical low: $31.19 USD - Original Price: $207.99 USD.

The AUD is also at a historical 5 year low to make the bundle price not such a historical low after all :P

  • I've pumped over 100 hours into Battlestation Pacific on console, so it'll be even better on PC. Highly recommend it if you're after a naval/air fighting game.

  • Cool, picked up the Hitman series. Been wanting to get into it for a while. Absolution was alright but pretty restricted from previous titles that I've seen, plus that scoring system is terrible.

  • Picked up Hitman series! woo.

Are the FF PS1 titles better to be experienced on PC, or should I play it on my Vita (with the original button layout etc).

    Thoughts?

    • +2

PS Vita, they are still good on the PC, but graphics are poor by today's standard so fine on a small screen and they are setup to control on a gamepad.
