    Dammit my birthday just passed!

      Luckily, mine is every year.

So just register a false date of birth for late in the year. The date of birth is only a security question. I never give my correct date of birth for any loyalty program. Keep track in a file somewhere of all your different dates of birth and which program you have used them for.

      • Hmmm true that, was just crestfallen at the thought of not getting a free meal =)

Just be mindful that some places will ask for ID, every time I have claimed a birthday item from San Churros they have asked me for ID. Nandos has done it once and so has Subway. It might depend on where you go, but you're probably just better off not lying and waiting till you're birthday.

I always spend the day before/after my birthday running around collecting free food :) It's good fun!

    • Mine too just two days back:(

  • It looks like you will have to download an app to join the program. Should this be mentioned in the post? The image isn't very clear.

  • Thanks TA!

  • The last time club red had a buy one get one free, my store didn't have stock of the new product until the following week. It kind of rubbed me the wrong way, so I might give these guys a miss.

I think all red roosters had that problem, or at least a lot of them. They actually reissued the voucher with a much longer expiry date. Its still valid until the 7th February of you still want to use it. Voucher is here

      • Thanks. Might give them a go tomorrow.

  • Must give phone number and must accept notifications of red rooster offers.

  • Love the chook from here. Get a classic quarter from them once a week.

Let me guess, this will be a carbon copy of the Oporto rewards? (which is a sister company)

    • Looks like it. I haven't been back to Oporto since I used my $5 free credit on a SnackRappa combo. There's nothing really there that impresses me that much. I'd rather go to Red Rooster.

They've just done a massive rebrand of RR & Chicken Treat stores in Perth to Oporto. The places look emptier than they used to be, I hope they have learned their lesson. Bring back my CT's!

      • Yeah and they also don't know the meaning of no spicy sauce, half the stuff comes with some sort of spice.

        • +2

None of their spicy stuff is spicy for me, I'm a chilli nutter. Even though they have spicy products available, they have very little kick. You must have a very low tolerance to heat.

It is absolutely ridiculous that you need to specify your gender.

    • The ridiculousness is absolute. I would much rather keep my gender a secret since they might refuse service to me if they find out I'm male.

Simple systems need simple categories. Simple people need simple systems :)

        Interestingly telechoice has choice of…

        male
        female
        intersex
        indeterminate

…..would have made it easier; oh well.

Not sure what's going on over at Red Rooster HQ but they just emailed me a survey asking what I thought about RR selling a Beef Lasagna and a bunch of other random stuff.

Gross. They should just stick to chicken.

    • +1

I made the mistake of buying fish and chips from Red Rooster once before…

    • +3

I got a similar email from them asking me if I'd like to see turducken on the menu… yuck.

Can we promote this deal. The new app is out and I think you get $5 off when you download it

    • We've just updated the deal thanks, looks like it's WA only at the moment, with the other states coming soon. We'll look at stickying the deal to the front page when that happens.

We abused the living hell out of this for the last fortnight or so, we just got around 50 bucks worth of free stuff in one hit an hour or so ago, on top of the free lunch me and my girlfriend had earlier.

Can't believe they let you just keep on making new accounts every time, even the Hungry Jack's app is smart enough to know I've already shaken today when I reinstalled it and logged into a new account that one time.

Long live free Red Rooster, I mean, you may as well abuse it now, there's no way they'd keep something this easily exploitable forever.

    • Don't they notice you returning to the same Red Rooster?

      • Yeah. We got a solid 100 in one sitting with six of us at another one too. This was like every day nearly for a good week with the 6 of us.

Mate of mine works in the shop near us, apparently they have a photo of 3 of us saying not to give us free shit. Still fine with us paying though. Lulz.

  • Man I just spent a bit of time looking at all the birthday meals you can get. Theres a hell of a lot out there.

Ajisen Ramen you have the whole month, which seems to be the most flexible credit out there, but many others give you only the day itself, or a week or so to use the credit around your day.
