Club Jetstar. Is it worth joining?

I'm wondering if anyone is a member of that 'Club Jetstar' paid member program - supposedly you get access to member only sales and pre access of upcoming public sales etc.

I was thinking of joining up (even though you need to pay 39 aud), but wondering if its actually worth the expense and price? Like to hear your experience.

Thanks.

Jetstar is one of the worst airlines we have ever been subjected to fly with ( the others were in the U.S.A.)
The staff on Jetstar are rude, arrogant, unhelpful - with no customer service skills & attendants who treat you as nobodies ( they also are way past their use by date with great girths & attitudes - a little like a headmaster or headmistress from schooldays ) To upgrade on one of their flights would be throwing money out the window. Look elsewhere, there are plenty of deals to be found. Scoot is another bad one.
At the end of the day, if you're sitting on a flight that may take between 5-12 hours , wouldn't you rather be in comfort with pleasant airline staff who will attend to you with a smile?
What exactly are these "upcoming public sales & member only sales " - probably some other poor person who has had the misfortune to use them as their carriers, luggage & personal goods.
    NEVER AGAIN.

    • Lol, I hapily fly with the grumpy Jetstar staff and spend my money on the actual vacation and with the money I save flying with the awful Jetstar staff we go on several more trips each year. We know friends that spend 5 time more than us just getting to the destination than what we do on the whole holiday, which means we do several trips per year compared to their one for the same money.

I think its a case of you get what you paid for. When you're paying 250 for a one way flight to Japan, i'm not complaining. I bring my own scarf as a blanket, change of pants for comfort, museli bars as nibbles, ipod for music and eye pillow / back support / ear plugs. And i'm set.

and to be honest, if your on an overnight flight, you probably wont have much interaction with the staff, as you'll be asleep. Maybe the staff aren't happy because of lousy pay lol

It was worth it when it first opened, but not anymore. Funny we were just talking about this today saying that it has gone to crap.

    • Oh thats interesting. Saves me from spending 40 dollars.
