    USD.

    • +4

      Yea.
So damn sad at the moment.
Still remember a few years ago. (1 AUD = 1 USD)
Back then I could buy an app on the appstore for $1. Now is $1.29

Have to be careful about the conversion.
Otherwise prepare for a surprise when you see the bill.

      • +1

With the stupid policy of lowering interest rates to 'force' money out into the market, I will actually increase my rate of saving while simultaneously extending my middle finger in the general direction of RBA and the banks who are the only ones to really benefit from it.

        • Well, importers lose. But people with home loans gain, and exporters also gain. It means we pay a bit more for our imports, but I think overall it's better for the nation.

        • +2

@lostn: People with home loans gain IF the cut is passed on. Savers and retirees lose.

        • +1

@wasabinator: this is ozb. Don't be a saver.

      • "Otherwise prepare for a surprise when you see the bill."

Definitely something that needs consideration these days. Grabbed a $75 dollar US PSN card the other day and almost died of shock when the actual price in AUD was ~$90. Ultimately, still cheaper than buying of the AU store, but with the reduced difference, I find myself passing on purchases 90% of the time.

        • oh damn, thanks for pointing out to me that i need to switch!!! i've always had my account is US, so i've been paying steam US prices for everything since the AUD sunk! :(

  • +1

    Thanks, got them all

    • Same.
      Great deal.

  • +2

I'm tempted, but have been burned in the past trying to get old games to work in widescreen and on modern PCs…

    • +5

might be safer to get them from GoG then, as they do the hard work for you with all that.

    • +2

KOTOR and KOTOR 2 work fine on 64 bit windows, and wide screens. The resolution might not be native for really high resolutions - but we are talking about games that are years old. Still pretty for its time

    • +4

For future reference, PC Gaming Wiki and Wide Screen Gaming Forum have a lot of handy community knowledge that can help with fixing/tweaking games generally and getting old games to run in widescreen resolutions.

    • +1

I followed these very simple instructions from the WSGF to get Republic Commando displaying at 1080p. I downloaded a basic hex editor by the name of HxD (grab the portable version for something a smidge less intrusive). All in all, took me about 10 minutes to figure it out. Will probably take you only two now that I've done the leg work!

    • +1

Yeh, i got the old school GTA's and they were a PITA trying to get them to work at all.

      Gave up in the end.

  • +2

$10.62 average. That's the highest average I've ever seen on a Humble Bundle. Still worth it though.

    • pretty sure it doesn't "reset" with each bundle, it is overall. so they are slowly creeping up in price, but not worth complaining about considering the cause and bang for buck.

      • +9

The average is specific to each bundle. The average for this bundle started at $6.44 USD.

    • +2

Battlefront did it for me. They can have my ~$15 AUD

  • Noob here, so if I pay more than $12 I get all games?

  • +5

Hmm… the BTA package seems a bit redundant.

  • +1

best bundle yet, even tho i have most of the games…

  • +2

    Claimed. Thanks :-)

FYI $12USD came to $16.09AUD via paypal….would have been cheaper a few days ago:-/

  • +6

Star Wars dark forces looks like it's a Doom mod. I'm sold lol

    • +1

essentially was, but was an awesome game in its time!

      • +2

It's still pretty good - I played it again a few years ago, after having played it way back when it came out. The graphics take some getting used to but if you can get over that, it's still a well put together game with decent story.

  • +5

Just an fyi, the Force Unleashed games are about 25-30gb download size each if I remember correctly,

Both run well on modern systems though and still hold up graphically.

    • Wow. That's huge as. Will take me at least a few days if I decide to download it.

    • According to Steam: ~30GB disk space required for Unleashed 1, 10GB required for Unleashed 2.

      • Anyone know why 2 is so much smaller than 1?

        • I have only ever played 2 before. I liked it- Its a fun game But there is a lot of hate out there for the 2nd game when comapared to the first one, specifically due to a weak story line and a short game.

I would guess that the short game might be the reason for the smaller download size.

  • Just to confirm: (most of) these games are more than 10years old, right? Such as the old republic? I remember I competed the game like 15 yes ago.it was a good one back to those days.

    • +1

Star Wars: The Old Republic came out Dec 20, 2011 and went Free To Play in Nov, 2012.

      In this bundle though,
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic came out July 15, 2003
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords came out December 6, 2004

      So yeah 10yrs ago.

      Also, http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/3030-tslrcm-183bm4-78ep-…

      • Thanks.

  • +3

Oh my god… I remember play JKJA on Garena and we used to have clan wars… this was back when i was like 16 or something… Thanks for the post!!!

  • newb to star wars games: what's the deal with multiplayer? Steam seems to say that multiplayer is no longer supported for most/all of these games…i assume alternative servers are available? do people still play these games? which ones?

    • Highly unlikely people are still playing a 10+ year old game.

      • When Battlefront II goes on sale there are always tons of full matches, then it dies off again. Heaps of fun.

    • +1

there most certainly is people playing, you have to use Gameranger though not much activity on Steam for these.

    • +5

      KOTOR 2 : LZBM0-BT0D5-YL7WY

      • both gone

      • ah damn, it's only those two that i really want, but i'm at work so i can't claim steam keys!

    • +2

      Games I've already got

      Jedi Academy: RA0KC-FIINC-WLTYB
      Force Unleashed 2: RXLZ3-5976A-MPBNF

      Go nuts

      • Starfighter 3WDZI-H0G5M-T5NAI

        • Got it ! Thanks !

  • Thanks OP…I knew I kept my Inspiron 1525 for a reason!

    • I still have an Inspiron 1525 lying around! Magnificent machine. :)

  • +4

Just did a quote tally on Steam and to purchase these items individually on steam you are looking at $115.91USD ($156 AUD)

  • +1

got it just for BF 2 :) use to LOVE that game when I was like 12 haha

  • +5

I'm going to pay the $12 for some games that I almost certainly will never play.

  • +3

This bundle is worth it for the two KOTOR games alone. The first is a masterpiece and the second while not as great is still pretty good.

  • No Rebellion. Pity. I only just picked up KOTOR on xbox and looking forward to playing that sometime soon again.

    • still one game to unlock

      • I think the extra game will be Dark Forces 2, its always a cheapie on Steam so can be chucked in.

  • +2

Lol the BTA is 11.21, might as well just purchase the entire bundle :)

  • Strange, Humble Bundle is providing Steam keys ? I though they stopped doing that 18 months ago to prevent people reselling them.

  • +4

    i havve spare keys

    KOTOR: LCPE8-PH64L-M35ED
    Empire At War: LCPE8-PH64L-M35ED

    • +1

      cheers! (i took KOTOR) :)

    • +5

      Empire at war: IWJZ5-G23HA-EC563

      • +2

I'm upvoting you even though whoever used your key didn't!

  • Quick question for us hard core oz bargaineers that run a free operating system (linux) are these compatible on xubuntu?

I have a steam account but not in front of it as im at works still and 3g is pretty slow at this point in time.

    • +1

No native Linux support from any of these titles unfortunately

      • ok but is there emulated support.
i know i can instll for example half life on my linux machine even though it was only released for windows

        • +1

Yeah, at release Half Life 2 was definitely windows only, but in 2013 Valve updated most of their Source engine titles to run natively in Linux.

I reckon the only way you'd be able to get these Star Wars titles running in Linux would be through WINE though

    • You're better off dual booting really, your in-game experience will be a lot smoother. Do you have a Windows key?

      • the desktops runs windows vista and xubuntu, its the last line of windows i ahve and when thats up i dont think ill be upgrading as my best machine is a duel core (my old gaming machine video card gave up the ghost but now very out of date).

i have run steam on xubuntu before and did a terst of half life on both vista and xubuntu and found it ran better on xubuntu then vista.

        • +1

Vista is pretty rough around the edges. Windows 7 is quicker and 8 is quicker again.

  • This is the highest average I've ever seen on humble

  • Thanks OP :D

  • Thanks OP, I purchased this even though I own some on disc. For $12 USD I get to throw the discs out and get a heap of new games… I wonder if the Force Unleashed is any good.

  • This bundle is awesome. Kotor games are just epic. Giving Republic Commandos a go now too.

Great way they set up the whole system too - money for devs, charity and a tip.

Just curious, is there going to be more than 1 more game? It shows a single box and everyone in the above comments have said one more game, but says "more games" (plural).

    • +2

They always only show one box to represent future additions. I'm sure there will be more than one.

  • The force unleashed II - CBDDG-RVBLQ-EYJGG

  • Well, out of the extra games, Jedi Outcast I've played, always wanted to have go at Jedi Knight: DF2, and wish SW Starfighter was actually X-Wing Alliance or the pod racer game (which was actually quite good). Can't complain for a few more freebies I guess.

  • Ugh…I knew I should've bought this earlier. Forgot about it and today it's gone.
