Another option would be to buy one of these connectors to connect up a 2.5 or 6 kilo tank…

Costs a bit more to get the ball rolling but you'll save big time in the long term by getting out of the expensive cycle sodastream would have you locked in on.
Depends how serious you take your fizzy drinks though…. the upfront costs may not suit everybody but by virtue of owning and asking the question on ozbargain then this alternative method could be right up your street for long term savings :)
Target is currently $19 for a 60L gas refill. If anyone knows anywhere cheaper at the moment, please post it here.
Coles had it as a special for $14 last week (back to just over $20 now)
Last weeks deal is obviously no good to you… BUT it shows that the gas does get a discount whether it's advertised or not so keep your eyes peeled.
NB: gas refill price is shown on the shelf where they keep the syrups so no need to hit up the staff at the front desk to find out the price :-)
So you were just in Coles and happened to notice the price on the shelf and it was on special? I'll have to keep my eyes open.
Woolworths and Big W is also $19 everyday

No room on bench for extra equipment. Maybe husband could build something underneath. That's an idea.

Are you referring to the Gas or the syrups? If it is Gas then I haven't seen any variation in pricing, its pretty standard and Syrups I wait until Target or Kmart do their 3 for $10 deals which is every 2nd month
