Xiaomi MiBand (Black) USD$16.00 ~ AUD$20.90 @ Gearbest

90

Dropped by around USD$3.61 since yesterday I checked. This is currently the cheapest I can find the MiBand around so far and even cheaper than the previous deal using a coupon at GearBest.

I can confirm it is a genuine Xiaomi MiBand as I have already ordered one.
Free shipping, granted it is quite slow.

Adding coupons seems to increase the price so this sale price is as good as it gets!

Also: A great modded version of the related app is found here.
It translates the app to English and allows customisable notifications so you can have the MiBand vibrate and flash customisable colours for specific notifications.

It appears that this requires Android 4.4

Those who have the Nokia 8210

      • Dam….it won't work with my Symbian OS 9.2, :(

    • There's a Mi Band app for IOS now. It's fairly basic but it covers the functionality.

  • Looks good how is this compare to Fitbit flex?

I am using one next to my Fitbit One, I can say that it picks up arm movement as steps at times but seems pretty accurate otherwise. The Fitbit Flex has a reputation for picking up hand/arm movements as steps as well. Other features? The Fitbit does resting calorie burn whereas the MiBand only calculates burn when you are walking/running, the MiBand does not record stairs like the Fitbit.

The Flex does not have a screen like the One, so functionality wise if you dont need total Calorie burn and to keep track of stair climbs the MiBand shoudl provide the same services. The app (on Android) is pretty good. Hope this helps

I am using a RedMi Note 4G so the MiBand is working a treat by allowing me to unlock the phone with out PIN and vibrating to notify me of incoming calls as well. For the money it is pretty good.

      • Thanks for that. So do you mean MiBand doesn't show total calories burnt? That's a shame because even my LG G3 phone shoes calories burnt with the number of steps taken. Are you sure?

        • The MiBand does show total calories burnt, but it does not seem to take into account resting calorie burn, ie it only counts calorie burn when I am walking running. So if you take that into account you will notice that the calorie burn totals are hugely different between the Fitbit and the Miband.

          Taking yesterday for example: (Fitbit/Miband)
          Steps (17005/16974)
          Calorie (3907/947)
          Distance (12.57 km/12.66 km)

As you can see for a day in the office in front of a keyboard + walking around town the steps become quite similar as are the distances. The calorie count is very different, both devices have been setup using the same height/weight/age parameters.

I transitioned from a FitBit Flex but had to put that aside due to some skin irritation :-(

So I've purchased a Xiaomi miBand to give a try and I love it! There is indeed no calorie tracking, but who cares…

The battery life is said to last 30 days but mine was last charged 50 days ago and still going at about 30%!! (I don't have morning alarm notification and app notification turned on)

I'm definitely not going back and actually purchased another one for my husband!

  • thank you
    ordered one

  • I am still waiting for the waterproof speaker bought 6 months ago !!

  • Thanks, bought two - one for me and the wife.

  • bad news - mine arrive , got the shorter box (not the tall box from video)
charge it for the night ,just use it but within 2 hour lost 22% battery

so yeah def fake now trying to get my money back from paypal
