Hi,
I'm thinking of getting a Toyota Mr2 Spyder. I dont know much about cars, just wondering if anyone knows the cons of the spyder and or what to look out for when buying a spyder?
Thanks

Carsguide does used car reviews on popular makes. Has some things to look out for Spyder Review There is also some detailed info on common problems here
I would also say that you would need to check if the cover works, for leaks and the area around it for rust.
thanks for the good link
Just don't use it to pick up french chicks because the MR2, when pronounced in french, sounds a like "Merde!" which means shit. Thought you should know.
Edit: Here's some reviews
You seem to like Honda's, why not the S2000? It might be a bit more expensive though.
And if you like convertibles, the MX5 seems to be pretty popular.
Fully sick VTEC unicorn power!
i think i might just save up for a s2k
I would avoid the MR2 like the plague as they have terrible gearbox and clutch issues which are VERY expensive to fix; a couple of my mates learnt this the hard way. It's a shame we only got the primitive dual clutch system in Australia, they would've been a fantastic car if we got them in manual like Japan did.
If you are chasing a convertible in a similar price range I would suggest an MX-5.
oh ic
Does it dose though?
Do you happen to be in the hairdressing industry by any chance?
nope
Wow, people still find this ancient joke funny
Hondas eh? What about the Del Slo targa?
Too old?
B16 VTAC yO!
not a fan of the delsol
If a cheapish convertible is what your after…Saab 93 convertible - wonderful cars
Actually I like the look of the Saab 93 but just wondering is Saab reliable compared to Japanese Make?
servicing cost is the killer with SAABs.
SAAB Killed By Death
A Toyota Spyder….?! Prepare yourself for harsh judgement. That is all.
