Hi there,
About to start back at university in a few weeks, and am looking for a portable enough laptop with some form of dedicated graphics running windows.
(Basic tasks, Word, Web, ect, however I've also got long breaks between and would like something I could game a little on, sticking towards older games or stuff that's less demanding. I don't mind if it doesn't have a DVDROM, I'm happy to buy a portable to go along-side it.)
I've also been looking at the ASUS T100TA Z3775 (Transformer Book), as well as the T200, however in the case of the T100, there was a revision model released, with the Z3775 instead of the usual Z3740 and finding this version hasn't been easy when most websites list the correct model-number of the revision, but wrong specs. Or the opposite, the correct specs with the wrong model-number, and I'm not really up for ending up with the wrong one, and having to fight just to get a return.
I'm willing to go above the $700, but would rather not, unless it seems like it'd be a great deal overall.
I'm open to suggestions anyhow.
I can only suggest check the Dell Outlet store every day and see what comes in. Prices are usually around half the normal price. http://www.dell.com/learn/au/en/audhs1/campaigns/dell-outlet…
I have bought from them before and would do again, no hesitation.
