Buying New Bed

Hi, i just need some recommendations on buying the new bed for me and my partners. I am looking more on the comfort and health but at the same time don't want to be too expensive. I have friends who can give me discount on the sealy posturepedic range beds but i saw not so good reviews online.

Anyone has an ideas or recommendations?

Thank you

  • I'm a huge fan of memory foam, Ergoflex have good quality mattresses for $1299 for the king and $999 for queen delivered. Only catch is you cant lay on them as they don't have any stores. They are comparable to the Tempur mattresses sold in my bedding stores, but Tempur has an ever so slight edge on comfort compared to my Ergoflex, however they are 4-5 times more expensive. So the trade off in value is far superior. Its a risk but health and comfort wise, I used to get a sore back but I don't now, perfect nights sleep every time. And you cant feel your partner moving around so they don't wake you if they get in and out. Only down side, which is arguable, when you do the deed you have to do all the work, no assistance from the springs

    • +5

Especially important point when he is thinking of his partnerS.

    • So basically because of the no springs, your back has to work harder, potentially giving you a sore back. But then the bed is better for your back, which makes it heal faster! lol

  • You might want to try these guys:

    http://www.ozmattress.com.au/

They give a 100 day comfort guarantee.

  • A.H. Beard (and the other brands they make) if you want comfort and long lasting.

  • I would recommend an IKEA bed. We spent months searching for the right mattress. We almost pulled the trigger on a tempur Mattress, but then we tried some at ikea and for the price you cant go wrong. We ened up with a mattress that was a memory foam top on a pocket spring base which still to this day i love because in summer it dosen't get too hot as it gets to 46 degrees here. I hear the tempuers get quite hot in summer as the pocket springs act like bellows which the tempurs dont have.

They even had a 30 day swap out guarantee which was nice but not needed. I would suggest if you do go down the memory foam route, look at memory foam pillows too.

  • Thanks for the recommendations guys, looks like no one recommend sealy's bed. I wanted cheaper price but prefer long lasting and comfort bed in particular.

    • Before the memory foam mattress I currently had, I had a Sealy, lasted 5 years and I started to get back soreness, It was a higher end model but not to say its a bad mattress, I just didnt get the right one for me. In the end mattresses are a personal thing, grab a book and go into a store and lay on them for a while and see what floats your boat. There is no 1 size fits all mattress and no mattress that doesnt have its lovers and haters.
