      Might be off topic but what sort of leatherman would you recommend in the sub-$150 price range.

        That's a very vague question. It depends on what size and functionality you're looking for. You can find their full range here. I have a Juice S2, under $150. I've bought a differnt model Gerber as a gift, under $100.

    Also depends on if you don't mind buying from the US. With the Aud$ as high as it is, ebaying from the states works out to be very cost effective at the moment.

      i did a search on ebay after getting the email. with most sellers it would still but more expensive but i found one total cost including shipping comes up about $1 cheaper. the benefit is i can have it sent to my PO box and get a +1 feedback rating ;)
