woah woah woah woahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh HAHAHAHA LOLOLOLOLOLOL

    • It says Adults $38.

      • Didn't say before.

    • There's no freebie stamp :), its a buffet.

  • gigadeals, this is the old shimizu grand right? Awesome price for really good quality shushi aka A SUCCULENT JAPANESE MEAL

Compared to places that charge $10+ for an average roll, you really get your money's worth. Especially if you easily eat 1kg of food like myself :)

Have they added any sushis to the menu or are the fancy looking ones a la carte only?

    • There is a buffet menu and you can have everything from that menu, separate from the alacart menu.

  • "Please note that excessive wastage of food will result in a penalty charge of $3.50 per 100g"

    Better be tasty food!

All buffets say it, just to prevent wastage

I've been to Shimizu many a time (the old name before the renovations) and they never checked even if I left the odd bit behind

The fee is only levied on excessive waste. I remember throwing out a plate of food at a buffet because the other patrons decided to carry their baby with their shoes above my food.

I told the waitress and they were happy to oblige.

  • Just curious is there a time limit per seating? Also, is booking required?

    • No time limit last time (again, the old shimizu). Always used to be booked out a few years ago, but last 2-3 years it started becoming pretty empty. You can always book on the day though

    • There is a 2 hour time limit :)

I ask myself is this authentic Japanese?

The presence of Bulgogi and Yeo's canned drink answers that question adequately.

    • So is it a yes or no?

      • +1

        No.

        • What's the definition of an Authentic Japanese food? A lot of the Japanese food were adaptation of Western styled food for the Japanese palate, no?

  • Authentic Japanese = frozen imports Japanese ingredients and stuff made in China stored In big Japnese food suppliers containers / warehouse waiting for months to be supplied to Japanese restaurants or take always :)

BTW , In serious note, I heard from.l a Japanese friend that the Sushi here dosnt exist in Japan

  • How long does the offer last?
