There has been lots of posts selling these cheap cards. It may be gold but so microscopically thin it is worth zero.
If you were able to extract all of the gold in the pack of cards, you'd end up with a ball of gold less than 1mm across. Probably MUCH less than 1mm across.
The gold-plated connector on your computer's video card has thicker gold, and still it's only a few cents worth of gold.
For comparison, a single 75x75mm sheet of gold leaf retails about $5, based on this price:

Most of the cost of gold leaf is in the manufacturing, distributing and retail mark-up. The gold itself is a small component of the cost.
you will note that link for gold leaf sheets does not list thickness of sheets, net weight or the more useful gold per weight figure! it's almost all backing or binder

I love playing cards, and these are fine. $4 worth easily. Gold looks great. They dont feel as good as some of my higher quality decks, but they look and play great.
