What kind of quality do you want? Are they promo shirts and then throw away (Vistaprint, find a coupon) or are they quality shirts you intend to sell (what kind of volumes are you looking at) or is it just a personal thing and every tshirt would be custom designed/printed in very low quanities?

Are you printing full colour (e.g. digital, direct to garment) or limited colours (screened) or even heatset vinyl?

(This is ozbargain, we may not steal your business idea, but we'll tear it apart and tell you whatever you are wanting to charge it's too expensive and needs to be at least half that price!… maybe even half of that again depending on how many new bargains have been listed that week)

  • custom t-shirts… sounds interesting.

and yes, as the 1st poster said, you need to reduce your price. lol

  • Gday Toristo / son ofa Zombie……

Im after Average grade quality , i guess 20 shirts to start with (Very low quantity).

Just two lines of text , not big Brandng size font. 20mm high font.
Not a Business Idea. Its for family members only.

I really just want to look at some websites and do some homework , id rather get some advice from OZB than start from scratch and waste hours.

    Cheers,
    Mark.

  • were you after white vnecks?
i have a tshirt printer..might be able to help out.
Its been broken for the past month and only just got it working again today so ill have to do some tests before promising anything

  • I'm after something similar.
About 5 shirts each with different designs, that are good quality printed (won't fade after a few washes), and preferably printed on american apparel/as colour shirts.
Cafepress and zazzle shirt prints both faded really quick from my past experience.
I've been going through a bunch of sites like
    http://www.theprintbar.com
    http://www.printlocker.com.au
    http://www.thetshirtmill.com.au/
    http://www.noveltytees.com.au
but have no clue if any of them are decent. Any one ordered from in past and can vouch?

  • Regardless of where you go, anything digitally printed will fade up to 10% opacity after the first few washes. Thats just the nature of the textile ink developed for the process. It's absorbed into the fibers and will fade as the fibers peel from the tee. After the first 10% of fade it generally slows down. This is in contrast to screen printing where the ink is able to sit on top of the tee however if you're not doing a decent sized run you'll end up paying quite a bit per tee due to screen setup costs not to mention minimum order quantities. One other process is Dye Sublimation. I don't have much experience with this process but to use it you need polyester tees which isn't available for AS Colour.
There are ways to reduce the initial speed that digital prints fade with pretreatment but generally each process has its pros and cons. If you're asking for something that wont fade after the first few washes, you should expect to pay for it.

  • Artscow currently has 3 custom items for $25 delivered (find deal in search bar), that includes tshirts, singles as well as cards and other crap. However, the tshirt style is limited in that range :(

    What about iron-on transfers and a $5 tee from Kmart/Jayjays etc ?
