Sorry… My love is not worth the shipping…

  • But will it make her think the ring's worth 1000s?

  • +7

This could be the last straw….I am certain my wife will leave me.

    • your wife prefers gold, right?

  • gotta question the quality when a sterling silver bracelet is worth than that 2 white gold rings.

    • It's a total of $25. So that's $6 extra for the bracelet. That's Valentines, engagement and wedding covered!

  • You get what you pay for
How much tighter can an OZBargainer get :)

  • +4

If any of you actually got this for your partner, you are more than just a tight arse. This is not an ozbargain!

  • What if she finds out??

  • +2

+1 because not all partners expect an expensive ring…..on second thought, time to revoke :P

  • +5

If you want to really spoil the love of your life…

$19 for Engagement AND Wedding rings?? Damn, I'd hate to see what 'not' spoiling is!

    • plus $7.50 postage for the true romantics

  • "Sterling silver plated bracelet for a total of $25 (value $139)". WRONG.

Then again anyone who believes his "fiance" will love him and her girlfriends will "drool" over him for buying this "amazing package" deserves everything he gets (or doesn't get, as the case should be). Even my blowup doll deserves better than rings worth 4 cups of coffee, and she's obviously not fussy or she wouldn't hang around with me.

You do realise I'm joking around don't you?

      • -3

Not at all. Wasn't aware that posts having a lend were allowed but the killer is that it's little different from a lot of the other rubbish which is passed off as serious deals. Thanks for clarifying.

        • +1

Mayb a practical way to break up

    • That is true, but why should anyone actually only love their partner or drool over him if he spends a certain amount of money on them. Sorry if that was the person i was with, i wouldnt be with them for very long. This is exactly why the divorce / break up rate is so high when the value of a material object is directly correlated to the value of the relationship / partner.

  • Do we even know what size rings/bracelet is sent??

  • +7

    It's a trap!

    • +2

Everything to do with marriage is a trap.

  • +11

just have to setup a romantic dinner at Maccas to give it to her.
    wear me new thongs too

  • One size fit all? How does that work ?

  • am tightarse but not THAT tight to 'spoil' my love with this ring

  • +4

these are ok as decoy rings when travelling overseas. rather than lose or have stolen your sentimental and valuable original rings it's good to have a couple of "decoys" costing a dollar each to put your mind at ease.

get a free Ring sizer and go to aliexpress and order from them.

I ordered mrs altomic a cheapo decoy engagement ring for travelling with as well as wedding bands for both of us. The decoy engagement ring looks really good and many people have complimented her on it since. Which sort of amuses me as it was $1.29 and her actual engagement ring was about 10,000 times the price.

I highly recommend this type of wedding ring (not necessarily this particular seller):
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/151405288800

    Tungsten Carbide.

What could better symbolize eternal love than a material that will not scratch or wear off ever?

Of course, people who try to measure love in $$$$ spent will not appreciate this at all. I feel kind of sad for them.

    • +1

Tungsten Carbide's the way to go, so cheap and practical. I don't really know too much about rings but heard once that the only reason it's not expensive is because it isn't a rare metal.

  • +3

for this price, does anyone else want to buy and hide in random desserts when out at a restaurant? then watch the drama unfold? maybe even start a slow clap? feels evil

    • Tactical confectionery. I like it.

  • How much is the white gold worth?

  • +6

OP, please fix title. This is a Separation and Divorce Ring, not an engagement one

  • +1

Intrinsically the same value as an engagement ring at a fraction of the price!

  • If the Swarovski Elements rocks have as much shine and lustre as diamonds, the girls will not care (provided they don't see the receipt).

  • +7

Some of the comments above demonstrate how silly our society has become. We have literally put a price on marriage and love. Really, these rings should be sufficient - but they aren't - we're even cracking jokes about it.

    • +4

Nothing says "I Love you" more than a common gemstone, hoarded by a cartel to inflate value, aggressively marketed to the insecure, mined by the oppressed, and the cause of many genocides and conflicts.

      • -1

It's really sad - especially when we live in a time of "equality" - yet one partner needs to shell out for the other for a silly status symbol.

        • -1

What a load of tosh, on both counts. You're either one of the "entitled" or poorly informed about the meaning and status of equality.

        • @Possumbly: Care to enlighten me? How exactly would I be entitled in this context?

        • @massafiri: Anyone who even vaguely thinks we live in a time of "equality" is either ignorant of the facts or sitting on the comfortably entitled side of the pendulum and blinkered to the obvious. A good place to start thinking about the issue might be the male/female divide. There's plenty more after that if you're really interested. I've returned the neg, as puerile as it is.

        • @Possumbly: I inverted the "equality" because I agree with your point, we do not live in a time of equality. Society is trying to aim for equality, yet we still believe in this artifact from a time of evident inequality.

I didnt negged you, by the way.

        • @massafiri: my apologies, to an extent, then. I did note the quotes but the rest of your comment - esp the "shelling out" bit - suggested otherwise. Couples don't neeed to follow convention and if they do as most do then it's not a one-sided matter of shelling out as you suggest.

  • Where's Michael Jackson's "I'm here to read the comments"?? haha

  • +1

Providing they didn't cause an allergic reaction, my wife would have been happy with these. She thinks jewelry is a waste of money!

    • -1

The logic escapes me, but then again so did the OP's sarcasm.
