Hi OzBargainers,
I wanted to do a round up of all the 5% cashback offers.
MeBank 5% cashback 6 months
Citibank 5% cashback till May 2015. Must deposit $2k/mo.
ING 2% cashback, must deposit $1k/mo.
Anyone know of any others?

True - edited.
for ingdirect, i've noticed that transfers between other family members orange everyday accounts are treated as external deposits and count towards the $1k requirement. also australia post deposits are counted.
With Citibank it expressly says the deposits must come from non citibank accounts. So transfers like what ING accept wouldn't cover the $2000 requirement.
Sorry, Citibank only requires $2000 per month. I had it in my head but the typing came out wrong!
Is there no minimum monthly deposit required for MeBank?
That's correct
So ING is the only one that offers ongoing cashback ?
yes. discounted gift cards might be another option if you know you are going to spend $ at a store.
Discounted gift cards cannot be used everywhere
Wait Citibank has paywave offer? Do u Need to be a new customer? My ING offer is expiring soon, be great if Citibank has same offer.
Thanks. Missed that.
Only new customers. Crap
Shout yourself an ME account for 6 months http://www.mebank.com.au/lps/eta/home/?cid=ETAC0003
@Twocupteabag:
Thanks but I don't qualify as I had an ME account before.
ING Orange 5% just ended :-( Only 2% now.
Wondering if worth to go through the troubles to get a ME bank account for the extra 3% for 6 months.
ING orange lasted almost 8 months for a total of about $500 rebate. Assuming ME bank only lasts 6 months the extra 3% based on previous usage on Orange would be worth about $220. Not too sure it is worth doing.
It would be good if you could use it for everything, not only up to $100.
I save heaps on the atm rebate From ing.
no more 5% off for all banks :(
I wouldn't say you must deposit salary for both Citibank ( $4000 per month) and ING ($1000 per month), you only need to deposit the amount from an external account.
