  • Won a charger module ;-)
    Appears to be a
5V Micro USB 1A Lithium Battery Charging Board Charger Module
    Price: us$1.32 = $1.65!
(often used with DC-DC converter (us$2.11) etc & Lithium battery to deliver 5V as a powerbank)

Now I need to purchase something to receive my prize :-(
    Maybe the au$2.63 DC-DC converter.

It's part of their new website promo
    1) Enjoy site wide 20% - 30% off till 31st, Jan. No need to put any coupon code.
    2) Enjoy the "credit": $10 OFF $100; $25 OFF $200
    3) Try your luck to get a free gift for your order

I was underwhelmed by the newsletter, so didn't read it to know of this competition.
Now I'm underwhelmed by my us$1.32 prize.

From prize email… Congratulations, you have won the Charger Module.
Item will be shipped with your order. Appreciate a lot if you can add the note " Please add the prize to my order." on the comment table when you check out

  • Mmmmm, I got a 'thanks'

    • You winner ;-)
At least you don't have the dilemma of what to buy to get your prize.
I am such an ungrateful bastard :-)

Damn it!!! I thought it's an ICE watch. Won the charger module as well. Definitely not going to order anything :)

    • lol just win an ice watch from the coke comp.

  • Weird the site wouldn't work at first telling my my browser didn't have cookies enabled (my Chrome certainly does). After logging in a SECOND time it was OK.

Just in case anyone else has this issue the store rep might like to know.

Oh, and I only got a thanks for this second round spin again also.

Lol. In 10 entries, there have been 2 reported wins of Power modules worth au$1.65 each. So average payout of 33c. And you have to buy something to collect. So actual payout is about $0.00.

    • Oh whoops must have been sleeping in the previous comments. So you have to BUY something to collect your "winnings"?

I move to have this "competition" removed then. I don't term this a competition at all. Having to pay money to collect something you've "won" is fraudulent, sneaky and stinks of spam to me.

      Not impressed.

      • That's why I warned about the need to buy something to collect your prize - in bold in first comment.

It's also stated in Competition Description, under Tips: "Free Gift will be shipped with your order".

As long as OzBargainers are aware that they need to register an account before entering (with usual sales emails), can use the (unusual for many) prize offered, and that a (eg us$0.28min delivered) purchase is necessary to be sent your prize, there is nothing wrong with this competition.

But is meant for their existing registered customers, not the general public! Of course icstation posted it here, to attract new customers.

Entering but not collecting your (1 of 300) prize just means less prizes for registered icstation customers.

It's ok if you were going to buy from icstation anyway. It's just a promo, and there is stuff from about au30c including delivery.

As it's 20% off now anyway, I was considering placing an order. A freebie sweetens the deal.

You wouldn't enter this unless you were the type of person who may shop for this type of specialised electronic parts anyway.

At least you don't have to buy anything before you enter, like many competitions, and can instantly find out what you've "won" before any purchase.

I think Round1 of this is the only other competition I've entered through OzBargain. Well there is Round3 to come. I can hardly wait ;-)

  • Won a LM2596 Power Supply Module.

I have no idea what to do with it, I just wanted the watch lol

    • What were you going to build into the diy watch? (There were only 5 to be won)

Biggest winner so far - I wouldn't mind one of these LM2596 Low Ripple DC-DC Converter Buck Step Down Module us$4.88

High power low voltage power supply board
      Input: 4-35V
Output: 1.25V-30V (output voltage is less than input voltage)
      Max current: 3A

It's ended. Registered and got told wait until the next round.

    • Competition had been running for days. There were only 300 prizes & those already registered received their email invite earlier.

But you forgot to report it has ended? (I can't confirm ended as already entered comp.)

      Good luck in next round.
