$54.95 33L Esky at Bunnings

30

Just picked up one of these at Bunnings and thought it was a great price, normally an Esky this size is around $79. I've been looking for a new Esky to use for Australia Day.

Specs:
Holds 40 cans
33L
Can holders in lid
Divider to keep food and drink separate

How about this 55L Willow wheelie esky for $49 @ Coles http://shop.coles.com.au/online/national/willow-cooler-wheel…

Says $49.97 when I look at the link. But also OOS.
I personally prefer the Esky brand over Willow though. Seems to be better made.

Not really cheap. Kmart have a 46l one with wheels for $49

Just bear in mind that the KMart ones have a 1cm layer of polystyrene acting as insulation, which means they don't stay cold very long. Better coolers will have more and better insulation.

I picked up a Campmaster Cooler 52L for $69 last yr from Masters.. save your pennies and get something worthy

  • OK, ye who know about esky effectiveness…. I have an esky which doesn't keep ice overnight. Is this normal? I would have thought that 8 hours of maintaining most ice would not be THAT much to ask of an esky. It's about a 33L one, I think. Willow. I know that there are large, heavy-looking ones that supposedly keep ice for days. Is there a middle ground between "almost completely ineffective" and "heavy and expensive and effective"? What is it?

  • Damn. I bought the 26L one about $47 a couple of weeks ago.
    This is a decent deal.
