Add the monitor and the RCA converter in the cart and you get both for $441! I checked stock before posting

RCA socket is for bringing your order past $500 so you can use the $60 off code instead of the $40 off code

Specs: http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/monitors/LU28D590DS/ZA

Bought this monitor last time around for same price as DS for the same price.

  • Warning: I am about to ask a really stupid question:
I have a laptop (Dell Inspiron 15R SE) with Intel 4000 + AMD 7730M. Will I be able to use this monitor at 4K resolution? Obviously no gaming (other than FTL :P) but just for web browsing and movies.
(Stupid associated thingy. I work part-time..)

      This should answer your question

Edit: Last post from a Dell Rep says HDMI 1.4 supports 4K but it will probably be 30hz, not 60hz.

    • It supports HDMI 1.4 from what I can find, so it should be able to support 4k at 30hz.

    • Your laptop needs to have a HDMI revision that supports 4k resolution. Version 1.4 and above. and yes, there is a 30hz cap.

    • Thanks everyone! :)

  • thought it's a 59" monitor haha

  • This was "on sale" last week as well.

    • Saw this at a local PC shop. Stand adjustment was very limited, plus I doubt you'll be reading text at 100% scale at full 4K resolution, they were just too small, you'll be squinting like Costanza all the time.

  • i also have a stupid question.

I know nothing about monitors and am in the process of building a gaming PC with with a gtx 980 card. Would this monitor be a Good match? If not, what should I be looking at?

  • hummm "Samsung’s latest bolsters good default performance with even better results once tweaked, but its lack of versatility and poor input times put paid to its prospects as a gaming monitor."
