I did do a search before I posted this and the last entry was posted on 28/06/2009. The terms and condition for this promotion is 01/08/2009 - 31/07/2010. So it's a re-run rather than a duplicate.

    • @bashar, agreed, the start and end dates for this promo are the same as what they were on the last deal posted. i remember checking this as i would never get a ticket bcos for my 2009 birthday i was overseas.

      • Yup, duplicate. Someone stated the dates in the comments for the original entry. Which was here (the one posted on 28/6/09), by the way - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/14086

I've used this before, to watch with someone with a free movie ticket. Nice stuff. ^^

  • yes I did this for my birthday earlier this month.

Shocked to find out how much it cost me to pay for my partner - $17!!! In one of the older Hoyts theatres in Warringah Mall.

Think I will stay with IMAX or United Cinemas with the decent screens and sound.

Can download a high definition for $5 or so!

i received mine on my birthday… problem is you can only use it on the day itself, and friends always come over for a drink, so realistically, it's a useless offer to me at least…

It would be nice if it was a "use it during the month of your birthday" :)

    • i know :( mine is on a public holiday so nothing's ever open sob

    does not work for QLDers

  • I tried to use it on the day after my birthday and they wouldn't do it. I would have to buy a full price ticket $17 for my wife. Come to think of it, it was a good thing that they didn't honour it. Now how do I remove myself from this membership? :).

  • haha that is so old
it was on the newspaper about 4 months ago
