Tissot watch to buy from Oseas or here ?

Hi All,
I think I am ready to become a gentleman. Also, I am looking at a tissot watch that I really like. Can I get some opinion from others if I should buy it here or from Oseas? That would be great.
Basically it all comes down to the price.
I can get it for $750 here or $500 USD from Amazon.
However, I have never shopped on Amazon before and certainly haven't bought a nice watch online before. Amazon would sell genuine tissot or a rip off Chinese calibrated movement ?

Tissot say in their warranty policy, that they will not cover any unauthorised retailers, and they also say no online retailers are authorised.

    500usd is roughly 608aud, for an extra 150 you have the benefit of warranty and an easy return, I'd personally go for local

      25% is not a measly amount, if I bought something for $608 under the circumstances of it being new and without warranty I would find it hard to pay $142 on top of it to get warranty.

    You're paying $608 to wait 2-3weeks for a watch that could maybe break/stop functioning during it's journey or 2 weeks after you've had it, then IF seller replaces it for you you'll have to pay around $50 to get it shipped back and then wait another 2-3 weeks for delivery again, and well IF they seller says no to replacing it all I can say is gg

    I would check to see if the watch is available on grey market websites like http://www.authenticwatches.com/tissot.html

    Tissot movements aren't complex, and are easily servicable by most watchmakers

    I'd only be concerned about grey/local stock if the price of the watch is above $5000+
