Dont have much experience with getting cd keys other than the publisher direct apart from humble bundles

I always buy from g2a.com and have never had any troubles.
Not sure if they're the cheapest but they're definitely reliable. Just turn off the "G2A shield" to save a couple of dollars and buy from G2a themselves rather than the third party sellers they've got.
So what I mean is for example here for DAI you can see the price they give is US$46.23 and then if you click the drop-down arrow next to the price it gives you a few options.
"G2A selected offer" means you are buying direct from G2A themselves and AFAIK are 100% reliable. Below that you can see an offer from a Polish seller for $43.82 which is a bit cheaper but it comes with the risk of buying from a private seller. You can see they've got 100% feedback after 90+ sales which is reassuring but I never take the risk myself.
If you do buy from the cheaper seller, then G2A offer an insurance policy which is the G2A shield option for $1.16 that you can see. If you buy from a third party seller with the shield enabled, then G2A will refund your money otherwise you're out of luck.
