Hey guys, i wake up today and check scumtree(gumtree) and found a Macbook Pro i5 one year old at a ridiculous $100! http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/darlinghurst/laptops/macbook-… what are the chances of it being genuine? i got suspicious because he said it was hard to use, yes a Macbook, but put 'honestly' right before that! yeah, like a doctor, just before he sticks you with a big needle he says "this won't hurt a bit"! lol and yes i know, 'if it seems to good to be true it probably is', but some people here have picked up dirt cheap bargains, which makes the call that much harder.
also, last year i replied to an ad, went out on a 90 min return trip to somewhere in Blacktown only to find it was a #^%%##@@ prank call with fake address! i got the seller back…..
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If it sounds way too good to be true, it definitely is.
I'd say it's either a typo (meant to say $1000) or someone playing a prank. No one is going to sell a working MBP for $100.
