Issue(s) with Sony 48" Smart KDL48W600B TV

We have a "Samsung UA32H5500 32 inch 81cm Full HD Smart 100 Hz LED LCD TV" which we bought like 4months before and its wall mounted in our bedroom and just bought a new "Sony 48inch FHD LED LCD Smart 50Hz TV KDL48W600B" which we wall mounted in lounge room (which also has a ADSL2+ Wifi modem withing 2m).

What we have noticed is this Sony 48inch KDL48W600B is slower than Samsung 32inch UA32H5500 …eg : its slow when we change the channels. I tried to use "Self Diagnostics" feature to see if there are any obvious issue but it came back clean. Also, the antenna (aerial) cable is not loose or disconnected.

Any idea if this is a common issue with this particular TV model or there is something wrong my side?

i thought this was a common issue with many tvs, some are faster at turning on/switching channel while others are slower

  • The speed that a device reacts to a signal from a remote is largely dependant on the processing capability of the receiver unit. Some makers use better quality and higher spec components than others.

You will find a similar difference in the ability of some sets to draw in a FTA signal, some have very weak tuners.

With the Sony 48" being a 50hz set that will also deliver a lesser experience than a 100hz set.
