Hello, this is my for first post on the forum. I am moving to Melbourne in a couple of weeks and plan to buy a new queen mattress when I arrive in Melbourne. Can anyone recommend a place, online or not, where I can get a discounted good quality mattress? My budget it around $1k more if I can justify that is is good value. Any suggestions welcome.
Where to get a cheap queen sized mattress in Melbourne or online?

I'd recommend to stay away from IKEA mattress. they are rubbish. Why don't try www.ozmattres.com.au
Any reason why ozmatress is better and why ikea is rubbish?
If it's just because of some bad reviews - ikea sells 6*10^23 of them, compared to perhaps 100s sold by ozmattress or any other similar brand.
*Not trolling, I'm really interested.
I've also been looking into buying a new mattress lately and Harvey Norman have 40% and 50% off a lot of their stock until the 18th.
I was about to post an almost identical thread…
Let me know if you find something.
not to be a douche or anything but a bed is just something that you shouldn't skimp out on. By all means try to get a bargain when you buy one, but make sure it is a good quality bed. When you consider the amount of time you are going to spend in this bed it is worth it to get something good.
Bought the Queen Mattress Latex Pocket Spring Euro Top (206Q) from here 3 months ago for less than $350 delivered and its great! Bit on the firm side but I like it that way. Arrived in about 3/4 days Brisbane metro. Best value for money mattress I have found. Would highly recommend! http://www.tommyswiss.com.au/mattresses.html
I'd recommend to check mattresses from Ikea. You'd be surprised with the quality, especially for the price. Also their warranty and exchange guarantee should be taken into account.
