KitchenAid Mixer (or something similar)

Hey Guys,

Was using my old sunbeam mixer to knead some bread when it fell off the bench and completely shattered. Time for a new one and wouldn't mind investing in something decent which could have potential attachments (like the pasta attachments etc). Any recommendations?

  • The KitchenAids are great. We've had ours about 3 years now and hasn't missed a beat. Only downside is I have found the attachments wear out (the white coating chips), so you may be looking at replacing those every few years depending on usage. Haven't tried any other brands, but the other high end ones were still $450-500 range when I looked. Figured I'd pay a bit more and get the premium product.

I have also heard good things about Kenwood from a professional chef.

  • I have had my KitchenAid for 8 years (this Christmas past) and love it. My white attachments haven't chipped but that may be because I wash them by hand. The whisk was put into the dishwasher once and it discoloured so I learnt my lesson.

Kenwood was the brand to by before KitchenAid dominated. It probably still is.

  • Anyone know a good price for a kenwood or a kitchenaid? so many kitchenaids to choose from too…
