neato XV-21 is having shorter and shorter life span, tried resetting internal clock by removing both batteries. marginal improvement but still only getting 10 minutes between charges. bought the machine in march 2014.
where can I source inexpensive replacement batteries?
edit - updated firmware to 3.4. may run neato through a few cycles as neato website states that that firmware update can improve battery life.

The Amazon deal just dropped by almost $10 today randomly!
It caught my eye randomly on a google adsense ad. It's now US $40.77 instead of US $49.99
I checked camelx3 to make sure and it's the cheapest ever by far.
Works out to US $49.50 shipped, came to AU$60.89 for me through 28 degrees or AU $62.90 if you let Amazon convert it.
I think for $60.89 for the 2, it's better than $86.90 from AU, shipping won't take too much longer and they'll probably cover return postage for a warranty claim within 30 days so only missing out on a bit of warranty.
I'm purchasing now.

If you wanted 2 batteries I'd go with the robotkingdom one dreamz mentioned.
$86.90 shipped for the 2 from AU with 6 month warranty (3800mAh) so seems slightly bigger than the standard capacity as well. Better than overseas for low $70 mark I think (don't have to wait so long and have 6 month warranty).
Nothing really better around on Amazon, Aliexpress etc, I thought they would be much better value there but these things seem expensive no matter where you look.

yeah, I tried the firmware update today and hit "new battery" button. I'm going to see how the Neato responds to that over the next week. the 3.4 firmware update is meant to boost battery life.
Hopefully works for you but 3.4 update and battery recalibration / new battery made no difference for me, I ran it a couple times since. Still getting the same run times as before the update and battery reset (16-19 minutes per cycle) and after 3 cycles it finishes even though half of the house isn't done.
