I have 41000 frequent flyer points with Virgin Atlantic Airline and is expiring in a few months. AS Virgin Atlantic does not fly the Australian route anymore, any suggestions that I can use them up? Any help will be highly appreciated.

I think the points can only be used on flights. Hotel program can earn points but not redeemable with frequent flyer points.
Yes but only with 3 programs.
See bottom of this page:

Can you transfer them to someone who can use them …
It costs $ to transfer miles so imo it's not worth it. Although if you have family/friends living in area where VS still flies to, you can always redeem reward tickets for them at the usual redemption rates.
I have 191000 points and its useless
So you'd have over 280,000 Hilton honours points. In gadget terms it's a nexus 7 with change.. (See my post below)

I had the same issue and transferred my points to a free Hilton Honours membership. Used it to subsidise a hotel stay and they also have a shop so you can use your points for the junk they sell there?!
"Members of the Hilton HHonors loyalty program can convert 10,000 Flying Club miles to 15,000 HHonors points, with a 'pro rata' 2:3 exchange rate for every 5,000 additional Flying Club miles"
It is an absolute rip off! 40000 points used to worth $500 can now buy a $50 backpack from Hilton HHonors.
I thought you said your points are due to expire?! Unless you're planning a trip then they are already worthless my friend.
If you have a few points and someone else is close to getting what they need for a flight or whatever but are missing a matching amount, it may be worth it to sell them. Ask for offers?
I've about 35k points expiring at the end of the year and haven't worked out what to spend them on either. I reckon reward flights with partner airlines (Air NZ and Virgin Australia in particular) or hotel programe is the way to go.

Be prepared to book ahead and be flexible with travel dates when booking partner airline flights though.
