Does anyone know if an AMEX offer (e.g. the Event Cinema spend $40 and get $10 statement credit) is opened to both primary and subsidiary cardholder, what will be the total statement credits available ($10 or $20)? Please advise.
It differs, depending on the AMEX 'deal' in question. For some deals, any card with the AMEX symbol on it can register/is eligible. For other deals, only 'AMEX-issued' cards (not 'bank issued AMEX cards') are eligible. Even when it's 'AMEX-issued-cards only', some deals can be separately utilised by all supplementary card-holders, while other deals can only be utilised for one card (i.e. the primary card-holder).
So you basically need to find out what the conditions of the particular 'AMEX deal' you are attempting to utilise are, for each separate deal; because they differ substantially from deal-to-deal.
Thanks for the info. I will call AMEX to confirm.
generally these offers are a one time thing. That is, you will get a credit after the first $30 or more shop, once only and never again. No credits after the first one regardless of how many more times you purchase or the timing of such purchases.
