It was a buggy app and doesn't have the full content of the site unlike NYTimes. Will be deleting it after the free trial.
Not sure if tablets only, but those with Samsung Galaxy tablets get 6 months free along with the economist and the Guardian for 3 months.

I can't find any links on the web, so I'm guessing its exclusive to tablets - its under 'Galaxy apps' on the tablet, from my end anyway
