Have you tried JB HiFi to look at some models/brands you might like? Bit hard to recommend based on so little input. Processor speed? Discrete graphics? Metal vs plastic? HDD or SSD? RAM requirements? Size and weight preferences? Battery life requirements?

4GB ram
SDD is preferred by not essential
Full HD preferred
something thin enough for my brief case.

  Dell outlet… check for XPS or Dell Latitude series.
  Or buy a Macbook Air — close enough to your specs, but it won't have a FHD screen.
