Amaysim Switching My Plan without My Approval

I got an email from Amaysim today saying that I have activated the FLEXI plan (which is a month-to-month pre-paid plan). Credit on this plan only last 30 days. Plus I have around $70 accumulated credit which is now going to expire next month if I don't use it all up by then.

I have always been on the As-You-Go plan with them and credits last for 90 days. I didn't request for the change of plan.

Is Amaysim trying to rip me off? Anyone with similar experience with them?

    Amaysim better not start changing peoples plans on purpose.

    Have you actually logged into your account to see if your plan has been changed? If not, then it's likely just an email glitch that can be ignored.

  • Also is it possible some intruder logged into your account and requested the change? Or someone had your phone for a while and texted FLEXI to 568?

    If you find that your plan hasn't actually been changed, it's probably just a glitch. These things happen. Sometime ago I was thrilled when I got a couple of SMSes telling I had $20 in referral credit but it wasn't true.

  • All fixed now via Live Chat. They changed it back for me and my credits reverts back to 90 days. What happened was that I bought a top up voucher from Woolies and apparently that was for FLEXI plan and not for As You Go. Didn't know there was different kinds of recharges.
