I highly recommend to purchase the power bank with the genuine apple micro usb to lightning adapter, this is very useful small adapter if you have any Apple devices.
The lightning adapter is 100% genuine from Apple, so you won't have to worry about it's compatibilities after each iOS upgrade, hassle free, but need to notice these adapter is pull from retail iPhone/iPad so it don't come with any retail package.

  • Damn, bought 2 of these at $15.99 (USD) the other day! Great deal though.

Rep, do you know if the MiBand works with the iPhone at the moment? Also - can we expect any deals on it in the future?

    • Yes, it work completely with iPhone with english UI now. You may use the same coupon code to get one from our store, it's already a great price now. :P

  • 5000mha means how much percentage of charging can we get?? for iphone 6 or 6plus

    • +1

      6 has 1810 mAh, 6+ 2915mAh

You don't get 100% efficiency though so assume you get maybe 3500-4000… so about 2 complete charges of a 6, one and bit for the +

    • +2

Usable capacity after conversion for 18650-type power banks are only around 60-70% (which is consistent with my experience with the Xiaomi 5200mAh power bank). Not sure about this Li-Poly based power banks, but the page says "at least 3300mAh output capacity".
The iPhone 6 has a 1810mAh battery, 6 Plus has a 2915mAh battery, I'll leave you to do the maths :)

      • 3300mah output capacity sounds about right after taking into account conversion efficiency and the loss during voltage conversion. Might be even up to 3800mah assuming 90% efficiency and lipo battery voltage of 4.2

        • +1

You're right, there still need to do the voltage conversion, 5000mah is rated at 3.7v, where cellphone need 5v.

    • +1

Some details on how to convert between "rated" and "real" ratings here:

Anyone bought from this mob before? Lots of Xiaomi fakes out there.

    • that's why I am hesitant. Singapore is rife with them as well

    • +2

Forget to mention, all the Xiaomi power bank come with it's authentic code which you can verify one Xiaomi's website.

  • So how do you get these genuine Apple lightning connectors from retail iPhone/iPad? You (or someone else) is selling iPhone/iPads without cables?

    • This is a long story to tell about the grey market in China. But I can tell you how they manage to get the adapter, this may not familiar with AU buyers, in China market, a new iPhone will come with a free micro usb to lightning connector, and most buyer has no need to them as they don't have any android device(so they don't have micro usb cable) at all, when they buy the iPhone, the retailer will buy from them, or some customer will sell it back to the retailer. But I can assure you, what we have is 100% from Apple, which I have compared all the cable and adapter myself. That's why I highly recommend these little gadgets to you guys, which you can get less than half price of the Apple store.

that's not a very long story at all. you're bad at telling stories, rep. 3/5 stars

      • Because we ship worldwide, to some european country, it'll take a very long time to delivery, that's why we state 21 business days.
As we monitor the shipping time from time to time, we know the delivery time to Australia is faster. :P

  • Just ordered one. Now we wait

  • Just a word of caution. I bought 2 Mi Bands from Niking store and 1 of them is already non functional. I don't know if it was defective or non genuine but reading online I can see that a lot of other people also have had issues with their Mi Bands. I have sent a message to Niking store customer service and currently awaiting a response. Will update later.

    • Yes, I have a similar experience in the Mi Band early firmware version. You can try to unpair the Mi Band and Pair them again to get it back to working (something like hard reset I think). Once upgraded to the later firmware (no app upgrade, but the firmware upgrade for the mi band hardware, it's automatically when you open up the mi band app), it has been working perfectly for nearly 3 months so far.
Anyway, if it's defective, we'll responsible for your order, no worry about that. :P

      • I have unpaired the band and I cannot pair it again. It recognizes my second band but does not recognize the first one. It looks as if its dead. Anyway, I'll try it again and let you know.

        • +1

By the way, don't put two mi band together, as long as they have power inside, they're all bluetooth on. So it'll make confusion to the cellphone when pairing.

        • I had similar pairing issues with my smartwatch when I had it paired to 2 phones of the same make and model. Could be something like that…

        • I know. I'm not using 2 bands together. My wife is using one and I'm using the other. When I said, the other one is not pairing, I meant mine is not pairing with my phone. My wife's is still pairing with her phone, so that's all good. No worries there.

        • @niking: Mate: Why is Niking store Rep going on asking me the same questions again and again in email? I have already said in my email to them that the band does not work, it does not have LED lights and is not connecting to any phone. I just want to know how to get a replacement - can you please ask them not to send the same information and ask the same questions again and again? Can you tell me how I can replace my band?

        • @silver_libran: never ever buy anything from Niking store. Their after sales support is pathetic. Slow and painful. The rep is asking me the same questions again and again and again. I don't think they understand English. So just beware!

        • @silver_libran:
I'm sorry to hear that. Please note the customer service rep is different from ozb rep. So they don't know the question you have already asked here. If you confirmed the mi band is defective, please contact them again and asked the customer rep for it's warranty. Thank you.

        • @niking: I explained everything in my email to them but still they keep asking the same questions repeatedly. I'm just alerting people not to buy from Niking store due to the pathetic after sales support. Thanks for your help though!

  • Can I use this with an iPad air ?

    • +2

Why would you ask such a question?

Of course you can use this.

But the iPad Air has a 8820mAh battery, so this one with about 1/2 a battery charge out of it.

    • Yep, don't expect a full charge though, iPad air has 8827mAh to fill, maybe you'll get 50% charge though.

      Oops, as above.

  • Hi there.
Does this power bank work on note 2 N7100?

    • +2

      Why not?

It's a battery, it works as a charger, you plug a USB cable into it.

Does your Note 2 charge via USB?

      (My Note 3 does)

    • +1

sure, note 2 use standard micro usb. simply plug & play.

  • where do i put the promo code?

  • So to recap, Xiaomi or Romoss are the best bang for buck power banks?

Whats the difference/advantages between 18650-type and Li-Poly power banks?, sorry if this has been asked before.

Am I right in saying Li-poly can be made more slimmer than 18650's?
And the Romoss 10400mAh has 2 USB ports vs 1 on the Xiaomi?

I got a couple of the laser 2200mAh power banks from HN ($8) and a 1000mAh?/8gb (2in1) from COTD.

    • +1

Actually the most advantages of li-poly cell is it can be much more slimmer and hold more power density than 18650.
Some say it's more safer, actually 18650 is already very safe…

  • +1

Price is ok if you need this model for the pocketability, but the 10400mAh for $26AUD awhile back was much better value.

  • +1

The code works for 10400 one as well. I bought one and will validate the product when I receive it. I already bought two fake ones in Sydney.

    • +1

Yes, actually the coupon code works for every product value over $10. :)

    • Where about you getting fakes in Sydney? There's many fakes in the market so be aware.

  • Got my 10400 mi power bank today. Yes it's geniune. I validated it on mi.com.:)

I finally can charge my iPad with this one. The other two fakes cannot charge my iPad.

    • Thanks for your words. :)
