Agreed. This is only available to people who purchase PS Plus, and one of the main reasons one buys PS Plus is to get access to free games each month.
To me it's like posting what recent release movies are available to watch on Foxtel as a bargain.

360 yes, but XB1 games are not free to keep.
PS+ and Games with Gold are both technically targeted offers as they are only available for subscribers. If one of them belongs in the forums then so does the other.
They aren't free, you still paid for them through the subscription. It's just that you get to keep them when the subscription expires.
@lostn: Correct. I was responding to a post about the 360. Regardless of what service you use if you're paying for the service I think it's a stretch to say the games are free, regardless of the terms around expiration of an account.
@Smigit: The games are free to download if you have PS+ and always will be. They are only free to play while subscribed. No one has ever claimed otherwise.

@Smigit: If you're getting other things from your subscription, such as online gaming, then there's a lot less to complain about. They didn't always give games with it. Now they do. So they're free. You paid for multiplayer. You got games for free with it.

If you are signed up to PS+ you get notified in your email.
An alternative is just to sign into the web store each month, add to cart all the PS Plus instant games you want/don't already have (you can claim titles for systems you don't own), checkout for $0 (make sure it's $0!), sign out… then you're done :) You can set a reminder in your calendar if you don't think you'll remember.

@colaman: That is if you regularly check your e-mail (I personally look at ozB way more than I do my E-Mail)
and this may entice some people to sign up if they were waiting till they had more time to play online like me, I don't think it's a big deal that once a month there is a post highlighting the "rent" or free games you get with PSN+ and XBL respectively.
I really don't think it's hurting anyone to have one extra post that to get on the main page needs to be upvoted by enough people anyway

I'm a US store customer, so I can't. I was trying it with the US store actually. I don't have an account on the AU store (because I don't want to pay aussie tax).

Nope, that's just the standard error message when you try to view content whilst logged into another store. They should actually tell people to log into the correct store and now that silly message

You don't even need to pay for PS Plus to get its benefits. Just create a new account, activate the console as its primary system and claim the 14 day free trial (credit card required, you can cancel automatic subscription immediately). Enjoy your free games (and online multiplayer) via your main account for up to 42 days if you repeat it 3 times during the month. Unfortunately, Xbox owners can only do this 3 times per console.
14 day free trial is a one-off, after you get your first PS+ Sub, the trial becomes unavailable.
You can create unlimited new accounts and play via your main account. I've been doing this for months.
But you'll always lose access to the previous months content etc.
True, that's the downside. But you've got plenty of time to finish them (mostly short indie games on PS4 so far) and at the very least, you get free multiplayer.

what if you wanted to replay all of those games? you'd have to buy plus on every single account.
it really isn't that expensive just to sub for a year on one account and tie all the games to one account.
Of course, I completely agree… IF you want to replay them. I tend to finish all my retail games within several weeks of buying them and sell them used for the nearly the same price. If I'm not going to replay these, why pay for something I don't need? Its not retarded, its saving money, this is a website about saving money, isn't it?
Besides, with a subscription, you're still renting them anyway. The minute you stop paying (unless you intend to pay for the rest of your life) or Sony stops supporting your console, you lose everything. On the other hand, if you do this and buy the odd PS Plus game you want to keep, its yours forever.
Anyway, I'm off to enjoy online multiplayer and get a platinum trophy on Infamous First Light and The Swapper with my account for free. If that makes me retarded, then so be it.
