Hi guys, I think this is the cheapest 32" FULL HD tv available in OZ at the moment. Also, Telefunken(German)is not a bad brand at all.

Telefunken are not the same company they used to be - same with Sanyo, Teac and countless others. They are all rebadged Chinese sets and the quality can vary from very acceptable to abysmal. I'm not saying it's a bad deal but I would definitely want to look at it in action before purchasing. Good deal though, and if you don't care about viewing angles, black levels and whatnot, you wouldn't have a problem with this.
Though, I'm sure there will be plenty more sub $900 brand-name sets around Christmas, so if you can save another $250 - buy one of those. Aldi had a 720p 32" for $499 the other week (maybe on sale now unless sold out), that would also be worth looking at.
The viewing angles are actually 178° vertical and 178° horizontal plus it has a response time of 8ms which means its probably an IPS panel. Of all kinds of panels, IPS is the best and usually carries a huge price premium.
I know they say 178 H/V but on paper and in real life things can change dramatically. There's no way they use an IPS panel even though there is 8ms response time, I'm sure you'll find this is a TN. Considering a 24" IPS computer monitor is worth the same as this, This guy doesn't seem to keen on it either but that's just his personal opinion and no review of the product.
Having sold some Telefunken gear in my time (the Chinese stuff, before we stopped dealing with them / their distributor) it was pretty mediocre.
If you look at the smaller models in the same series (also available from www.oo.com.au), you will notice that those are specified as 170°H 160°V so I'm certain THIS one is not a TN panel. Personally, I have yet to see a TN panel that is larger than 27".
aldi sets went in first few minutes
Sorry, but if you're looking for a no-name brand panel then I would buy a Hisense before a Telefunken.
At least Hisense has a functional website where you can download manuals and their TVs come with a 3 yr warranty.Mate hisense ain't a no name brand. Kogan, tyagi and conia and soniq are what you call cheap chinese brands. In case you live under a rock, hisense pay $100's of thousands to put their brand on what used to be called vodafone arena noob and r a multi million dollar manufactorer of tv appliances. Get ur facts straight
they may spend more money but at the end of the day still a yum cha chinese brand no different to any else may have a slightly better picture quality but not a jap brand and not an international brand it is a chinese brand. Probably the same factory that spews out vivid vivo telfunken kogan soniq and all the others
Hate to break to you but all tvs r made in yum cha ville. When u find one made in a western country where they pay more than 2$ an hour for wages u come tell me.
not bad but looking at box only 1 1/2 star energy rating likely just a rebadged generic chinese panel
