I note that MSY had one for $2, Kogan sells 3X for $24…whereas Dick Smith has a 1A for $24.95!
Anyone got a link to a reliable/safe/durable and "cheap" 2.1A Usb CAR charger please?

I got the same question here. I found some so called BELKIN car charger on ebay for less than $20 without retail package. are they trustworthy?

Officeworks has short ones that basically sit flush with the cig lighter so no need to pull them when not in use, for under $20 (I think about 18). Ive got one for my car and one for my 4x4 and have never had a problem with them. They come in black, blue or pink. LED is blue and not overly bright, but can always turn upside down and you wont see it. Note mine get limited use, so YMMV.
