Reversing Camera - RCA or 4 Pin Connectors?

Looking for a reversing camera and monitor and am unsure as to which type of connector is best.

From my research, the 4 pin screw in types appear to be much better than RCA but I have not found one that meets my needs yet or budget (lower is better :))

So questions:
* Does it make a difference going with RCA over 4 Pins (they appear to be cheaper)
* If I decide on RCA, will the quality of monitor available be poorer than if I went 4 Pin

What I am wanting is a monitor around 4" to 5" in size and has two inputs as I will have a camera on the car and camper trailer.

If you have installed a reversing camera kit, who did you get yours through?

  • I've installed using RCA inside the car, works fine. For connecting to a trailer you will need the four pin to get power through.
