Hey guys, looking for suggestions between these two Asus laptops:
F550LD from DSE $899 i74510U, Nvidia 820M 2gb, 8gb ram, 1tb hdd
OR
N550JK from Computer Alliance $1499 (I bought my first laptop from them 5 years ago) i74710HQ, 1080p display, Nvidia GTX850M 4gb, 8gb ram, 1tb hdd
There is a $600 difference between these two laptops, but the performance jump is massive as well, does anyone own either of these or have any suggestions? I'd like to use it for casual gaming (I'd build a desktop, but I need a new laptop anyway and I'm moving to NZ in 6 weeks for 2 years and I'm trying to minimize possessions a bit.
I have the F550LC, reliable computer but I dislike positioning of touch pad (accidentally touch it sometimes while typing) and strongly dislike lack of 1080p. Never play PC games so can't comment on its performance there, but everything else is pretty quick even without an SSD.
