      lol who negged this?

  • Captain Toad should only cost $38.4 at JB after pricematch + 20% off voucher (from the $50 GC deal).

  • It seems like the price of the iPad Air is the same as a refurbished one off the apple store http://store.apple.com/au/product/FD789X/A

Not sure if that is any better or worse.

Being a really early buyer of the Wii U, it's been really exciting seeing all this new big titles coming out. Awesome console.

I practically bought mine at launch and watched it collect dust for 2 years and hated it. Now I absolutely love my wii u and can't imagine buying the other consoles.

It's only going to get better this year :)

        • Ahmahgah! I cannot WAIT to play an transformable squid girl hurling ink at walls! 10/10 Would get inked again.

    • Agreed. I've got so many games to get through including some old Wii games. Love the 100% backwards compatibility.

You'll have to show proof from BOM.

  • I managed to get Big W to price match Target yesterday for Captain Toad! :D There are no Target's near me, the sale hasn't started yet, and Target didn't have any copies when they rang up, and Big W doesn't have a price matching policy as strong as EB's, so I have no idea why they honored it. I imagine they thought I was just going to come in on Thursday when it did start and do the same thing again (Which I totally would have) It's pretty good so far though.

I was able to get EB Games to price match it on Wednesday before the deal was active. They seem pretty lax about it these days, if you tell them Dick Smith, Target or Big W beat the price and it sounds sane they just accept it.

      • I can verify this. I got them to price match Bravely Default and Tomodachi life for $48 when the lowest it was, was $54 everywhere. It came on sale for $48 eventually, so I don't feel like a criminal :3

    • Have you tried Captain Toad yet? Do you like the game?
Thinking of getting it as well.

I have played it. I actually find it surprisingly good, considering I thought the associated minigame in Super Mario 3D World was average at best but a nice distraction. The whole game is astoundingly cute and beautiful, really nice to look at, and the soundtrack is catchy!

Of course, it IS a kid's game, and no 'puzzles' will make you go "Okay, what do I do? I am stuck." (Some of the bonus missions might though!) However, if you're a completionist (I would recommend it highly if you are) then every level has to be played at least 3 times, and as enjoyable every time :D Surprisingly, the time trial for each level almost requires LASER PRECISION, with most of my times being 1 second quicker or just on par, so despite being an adult it still remains tricky.

All in all, it's really good. It's charming, surprisingly long! (Like, I'm talking 14 hours+ if you're going for completion) and a good effort at a new IP. Considering I've used the word 3 or 4 times, I'd say the best word to describe this game is "Surprising".

I reckon it's worth about a 7.9/10 :3 Of course, if you have $48 to spare and you're looking for a Wii-U game I would have to recommend Wonderful 101 first, haha.

        • Thanks for the response Frank, you've sold me! I'll be getting this as well!
