wheres best place to buy such things. my local computer store (gamedude) has sata raid cards but i think their software ones.

    If it's a RAID card, its most likely hardware.

    Try other computer stores, like say

    Centrecom
    PCCaseGear
    Umart

    MSY is walking distance from Gamedude - I know because I went to both once.
