Qantas Online Mall Frequent Flyer Bonus Point

I'm interested to know people's experiences with getting the bonus points that Qantas was advertising for their Online Mall in November/December last year.

At the time they had advertised 5 points/$ spent for purchases made from the Apple Store. As this was a better deal than the 4 points/$ spent on the Velocity Store at the time, I made my purchase of a refurb iPad Air for $489 through Qantas Mall. I have just checked my account, and have been awarded 1110 points for the purchase, a long way short of the 2445 I should have received. It's difficult to locate the correct contact form to query the points. I just used the general Frequent Flyer contact form.

Has anyone had experiences contesting points awarded by the Qantas Mall and if so, how did you go?

  • I am also having issues redeeming the points (ebay and booktopia). The usual rate was applied but not the bonus. There is a "contact us" form at the bottom of the page (difficult to find).
    I completed it a few weeks ago now and have not heard anything back.
    Guess i am also hoping for suggestions about a next step as well :).

  • Check the fine print for exclusions. I know the iPhone 6 plus for example is excluded form any points.

    • I did at the time. No exclusions mentioned that applied to my purchase.

    They have a contact number, 13 11 31. I might just cut to the chase and phone.

  • Yes I have noticed that my Ebay points are around half to what they should have been.

  • Spoke with 131131 on the phone this morning, bonus points accumulated in the promotional period for sellers via the Qantas mall will be credited separately and appear as a second line entry in your activity statement. The consultant I spoke to was not able to indicate a time frame for these bonus points though.

  • FYI: I received my second set of bonus points in my Frequent Flyer account today for transactions done through to the Qantas site to my eBay account.

  • I've also contacted Qantas via phone to query posting of my 'bonus' online mall points (in this case for a transaction with David Jones). Similar to kearnsy, the rep advised me that bonus points accumulated in the promotional period via the Qantas mall are credited separately.
    I can confirm that I received my bonus points for that specific transaction a couple of days ago - so appears it is all working as it should.
