Is It Possible to Install Facebook App on a iPad Gen 1

current facebook app from iTunes store is for IOS 7.

gen 1 iPad only goes to 5.1.5 or something like that.

I know I can go through safari to log on to facebook but having the app installed would save me valuable time.
