15W-40 is for dinomobiles. Even too thick for my 15yr old prado tractor.
15w-40 is "universal" multigrade oil. The reason some manufacturers have moved to a "smaller range" is that viscosity improving additives break down under extreme conditions. This is perfectly good oil for most vehicles but as always check your vehicle's handbook specs.
My 98 (16yr) Pajero takes anything from 20W-50 to 10W-30…. OEM Mitsu oil is 15W-50 so this would be fine…. except I have 6 bottles of 10W-40 i bought for more than half price over the years of Ozbargain lol
2 Ryco filters from an earlier clearance
Far out I have $24.42 in credit lol
