There's been so many good deals on 4K TV's (>55")
Just wonder what people use it for? Whether is it worth upgrading from a 50" FHD plasma to a 60" 4k TV?
I mainly use it to watch movies in FHD. But there are limited options available to get or even stream 4k movies…
Where and how to do you get and stream those 4k movies? renting, buying, downloading?

No idea mate i know both netflix has 4K movies but there not available to PC or mac for streaming. http://www.techhive.com/article/2858474/why-you-cant-get-4k-…
Besides you need a very fast internet connection to stream 4k, according to netflix website you need 25mbps or higher to stream 4k https://help.netflix.com/en/node/13444
Better off with a decent 1080p TV
4K is awesome and all but the lack of content and shitty internet connections in Australia makes 4K and 4K streaming not really possible.
If you wanted to gaming on pc then if you built a decent rig you could gaming in 4K.
There are also 4K Blu rays available, although not a lot to choose from.

Not many GPU can actually handle 4k gaming decently unless you are willing to send closer to 1k on GPUs… as such, it isn't advisable to bother unless you…
a) have alot of cash to blow
b) gaming enthusiast
c) all of the aboveCurrently, GTX 970 SLi should handle up to 30 fps (or slightly more) on 4k. Whether that is playable is personal opinion (I personally prefer >50fps)
thx, but I don't play games on pc/others.
I read somewhere that 4K blu rays will start to become more common in late 2015… but of course, the 4k TV may also be cheaper then should you choose to upgrade then.

They don't exist yet, late 2015 is when they're expected to be available. Right now there's 'Mastered in 4k' discs which are still the same res as standard Blu-rays but with some extra trickery to make them look better.
I did say if you built a "decent" rig.
I never even hinted at a cheap rig to run 4k
If you cant afford sli or crossfire with some decent cards you should not be thinking about 4k.This is just the begging of 4k gaming though.
Yeah I was just giving a rough estimate as to how much you would need to spend on GPU alone. Didn't mean anything by it.
@ProjectZero: no problem, thx for your inputs
If you are into image quality then buying a 4K television will make your 1080p content look worse as the image has to be upscaled:
http://www.rtings.com/info/4k-and-1080p-resolution-upscaling…Video enthusiasts who record their own 4K videos can also benefit from buying a 4K TV. Some other 4K recording devices are smartphones, Digital SLR cameras, Action cameras. 4K content from these devices is slowly trickling onto YouTube.
Since 4K recording devices are still expensive I wouldn't bank on crazy numbers of 4K YouTube uploads. I'd much rather put the money into surround sound to complement your existing 1080p entertainment system / media player.
nope, better upgrading to 65" FHD LED
size increase you can enjoy from now, the 4K feature you can enjoy fully in 2 years time.
